Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani Wards Off Fake Social Media Post With Authentic Press Release

For more than three decades, Dr. Rajan Mahtani and his companies have been warding off unethical, false and unruly rumours and baseless claims against him. At the same time, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has continued working for the economic, social and technological development of the Zambian economy. Furthermore, he is also known for several philanthropic and charitable contributions for the less privileged sections of the Zambian society. As a result, it is common to observe baseless rumours against him by those who are either jealous of his success and reputation or lost business as Dr. Mahtani and his companies refused to engage in unethical business practices.

At the same time, there are some negative media campaigns or false rumours which need immediate attention. One such social media post was shared by Miriam Mwanawasa, daughter of the late Ex-President of Zambia who incidentally, shared a close friendship with Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani. In this Facebook post, Miriam Mwanawasa claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani wanted to inherit the farmland at Masaiti district which belongs to the Mwanawasa family. Since this social media post started spreading like wildfire across the internet as well as offline media, Dr. Rajan Mahtani took the right step by releasing a press statement. In this press statement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that despite having a long-standing and transparent friendship with the late Ex-President of Zambia, he never made such claims of taking over the farmland. At the same time, Dr. Rajan Mahtani highlighted that the Facebook post had no support, evidence or proof and therefore was malicious and ludicrous. Dr. Rajan Mahtani will be taking appropriate steps against this unethical social media post.
