The company Atlas Mara was floated in the year 2013 with the objective of establishing banking giant in Africa as well as a platform for Bob Diamond to enter the Zambian state again. During evaluation, it was found that the Ventriglia family failed to comply with the legal requirement in which claims against previous court decisions are to be submitted within 14 days of the court verdict. Since the verdict from higher Court of Appeal was given on 31st January 2019, this means the Ventriglia family was required to submit their case within 14 days from the above decision. Based on these evidences or lack thereof, the Supreme Court bench rejected the appeal from the Ventriglia family.
